THIS WEEK’S PRAYER FOCUS: As we enter the Lenten season our prayer focus for this week is on our Lord Jesus Christ’s passion; His suffering, betrayal, crucifixion and resurrection from the dead. This time period in the church year is commonly known as Lent, which officially began Wednesday, February 14 with Ash Wednesday. The time prior to Easter can serve as a time of reflection and prayer on the tremendous sacrifice offered by Christ on our behalf. You will notice that our worship music will be more somber and reflective, focusing on the burden of sin that we would bear were it not for Christ’s redemption, thus making the glory and wonder of Easter all the more exuberant!
