THIS WEEK’S PRAYER FOCUS: The 2018 Winter Olympics begin later this week in Pyeongchang, South Korea. In addition to the competition between athletes, the games are often viewed as an opportunity for promoting peace between nations and for celebrating the beauty of the various cultures of different people groups from around the world. As you watch the events in the days ahead, pray that the Lord of peace would use His people throughout the world to faithfully proclaim the truth of Christ as the one and only, perfect, and permanent peace there is. Pray particularly for our Christian brothers and sisters in South Korea who have the opportunity to share the love of Christ with people from across the world. Ask God to provide a right safety and security during the events – keeping athletes, spectators, and workers from harm.
