Safe-Gathering Guidelines

Safe-Gathering Guidelines

November 2020

As we enter a new month, here is the latest on our ministry activity. Everything is basically the same, except we have confirmed that nursery care and Sunday school for children and youth will begin on Nov 8. Please continue to pray that God would guide and bless us. ~Pastors Chad & Mackay

Worship Gatherings
Sunday morning worship continues at 9:30 a.m. each week. The Lord’s Supper is served on the first Sunday of each month. If you are sick, please stay home. The use of a face covering is strongly encouraged, especially when arriving, exiting, and singing. Please try to maintain six feet of social distance with those outside of your family group. If distancing is not possible due to the number of congregants, overflow seating will open in the fellowship hall. Our worship service is live-streamed on YouTube, and a recorded CD or DVD is available from the church office the following week.

Nursery and Sunday School
Beginning on Nov 8, nursery care will be available for babies through three years old for worship and for the small group/Sunday school hour following worship. Parents are asked to please wear a face covering when bringing your child to and picking your child up from the nursery; nursery children do not need to wear a face covering. Parents will be asked to wash their child’s hands when coming into the nursery.

Sunday School for children (PreK – 5th Grade) and youth (middle school and high school) will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will follow the same safe-gathering guidelines as we do for Ekklesia (sign in, handwashing, and face coverings).

Ekklesia/Wednesday Nights
Ekklesia continues Wednesday nights. Our fellowship meal begins at 6 p.m. followed by programs for children, youth, and adults. Meals are individually packaged and must be reserved by 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Please use the Sunday worship attendance card, the church website, or call the church office.

Kids are dismissed from supper to meet for Ekklesia Kidz in the breezeway entrance of the Family Life Center. Parents need to sign in children after students have washed their hands in the restroom and face coverings are required.

Youth ministry students and leaders will eat and gather separately from the families in Fellowship Hall. Students need to sign in for youth ministry and face coverings are required.

Campus Use
Adult Small Groups are meeting in-person and virtually via Zoom; in-person meetings should be kept near ten people per group.

Foodservice has resumed on Wednesday nights at Ekklesia; Adult Small Groups are welcome to enjoy coffee and share prepared foods in their classrooms.

Funerals and weddings are now allowed, using our current guidelines for Sunday morning worship. Requests for facility use by non-FPC groups are being handled on a case-by-case basis.
