Discipleship

Discipleship

“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.” Colossians 2:6-7.

In Jesus, God calls his people to walk in him in daily service. Our two discipleship avenues (small groups and Rock On Wednesdays) provide opportunities to learn, to grow spiritually through the means of grace, and to fellowship.

Small Groups

Adults gather regularly with four objectives: teaching, outreach, fellowship, and service. Most small groups meet on Sunday mornings following the worship service. “The Hub” is our multi-generational, large-format gathering following Sunday worship that includes an elder/pastor-led sermon discussion. If you’d like more information on small groups contact Pastor Mackay Smith at 863-676-0711.

In Times Like These, Pray Like This

The cultural turmoil of the last few years has raised questions for all of us about how we are to think and live as Christians.  Our Discipleship Weekend was an opportunity for training together as we look to Jesus!  How should we pray to God in the world today?  How does God use our prayers to transform our thinking and living?

DISCIPLESHIP STUDY ONLINE

Prayer

I invite you to join me for a 4-session discipleship study on prayer.  Prayer is a precious right of God’s people bought by Jesus’ redemption and guaranteed by his ministry of intercession.  Certainly, these days, if there is anything God is leading us to consider, it is how we can bring our needs and requests before him, even while we rest in his perfect will.
All four sessions are posted together and you are welcome to work through them at any time.  I pray God will use them to grow us all in the joy of a prayer-filled life. – Mackay

A Study of Hebrews

No exploration of being “Centered on Christ” would be complete without a study of Hebrews. The author of Hebrews systematically attests to Jesus’ greatness, arguing that there is salvation in no other name. In this study, we will set ourselves before this written sermon together in order to seek and savor Jesus.
