Andrew Brunson Release Efforts

Andrew Brunson Release Efforts

Andrew Brunson, a pastor who served over 23 years in Turkey, remains wrongfully imprisoned there, because of his Christian faith. The U.S. State Department has released a report on Int’l Religious Freedom, highlighting Brunson’s plight. In this report, which analyzes freedom violations across the world, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson specifically addresses the plight of Pastor Andrew, noting U.S. efforts to obtain his release continue.

Wrongfully detained Oct. 7, 2016, Pastor Andrew has yet to have any formal indictment handed down, although one was promised months ago. He has been transferred to another facility with no known reason. His wife visits weekly, and State Department officials visit periodically. The ACJL continues aggressive global legal advocacy, including at the highest levels of the U.S. government, for Pastor Andrew’s freedom.

HOW YOU CAN HELP –

  • Continue praying for Pastor Andrew’s release and to, once again, enjoy the religious freedom to which he’s entitled.
  • Pray for peace and strength for Andrew and his family.
  • Pray for those advocating globally for his release.
