Nominations for Elders and Deacons: At this time, we are beginning the process of selecting new church officers for 2020. Elders are ordained to the purpose of governing and disciplining God’s people by guarding and promoting their spiritual welfare by the Word and through prayer. Deacons are ordained to the purpose of overseeing ministries of mercy as well as the material assets of the congregation. A fuller description of the nomination and selection process for officers is in the July issue of The Diligent. Nomination forms are available in the parlor, church office, and online at HERE and can be submitted by church members to the Nominations Committee by Sunday, August 4.
