Hilda Edwards Galloway Tanner, 97 of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017 at her residence.
She was born March 24, 1920 in Marshall county, Kentucky to the late John G. and Nancy C. Enoch Edwards. She was a retired bookkeeper and a sales agent for Tupperware. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Tohopekaliga Yacht Club in Kissimmee and she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Wales. She was also an active member of the Lake Wales Lion’s Club, Lake Of The Hills Community Club and The Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Galloway and 2nd husband Lloyd Tanner; sisters, Martha Draffen and Vivian Adams; brothers, Hubert, Herman, Homer and Duewey Edwards.
Survivors include her sons, Tommy Phillip Galloway wife Kathe of Lake Wales, Jim Galloway of Dallas, TX; 4 grandchildren; Karen, Mark, Joe and Joan Necol: and 4 great grandchildren; Aidan Joelle, Jake, Nick and Meagan.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 9:30 am until service time at 10:00 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home, 454 South Buck Moore Road, Lake Wales, FL 33853 with Rev. Chad Reynolds officiating. Interment will be held at the Maitland Cemetery at 339 Lake Destiny Road North, Maitland, Florida 32751.
