PRAYER FOCUS: Please be in prayer for the elders and deacons of the First Presbyterian Church as they seek to lead and shepherd the congregation in the name of Christ (1 Peter 5:1-4). Ask the Lord to give them growth in grace to the end that they would live out Christlike holiness in their hearts, their homes, their neighborhoods, their workplaces, their community, and their church (1 Timothy 3). Pray that He blesses those who are currently serving but also those who will soon be nominated to serve in one of these offices in the coming years. Ask the Lord to give you and your fellow church members a holy submission to these ordained leaders that they may serve Him and you with joy (Hebrews 13:17).
