PRAYER FOCUS: Our nation and our community are entering the time of year which for those of us involved with school either as professionals, home schoolers, volunteers, mandatory participants (a.k.a. students) and all of these families develop what, after summer, will be deemed a “normal” routine. However, for many of us, as our routines develop, the rightful demands of the state and the marketplace, which are placed upon us, we often allow to take away from our commitments to God, his church and our own families. Pray that for our own well-being God lets us wisely discern what we give to him and what we give to “Caesar” (Matthew 22:21) and that as our school-year routines crystallize, they clearly reflect this understanding. Please pray for parents, parent-teachers, teachers, administrators and students both in our church and our various systems of education.
