THIS WEEK’S PRAYER FOCUS: Please pray this week for those who are in government leadership at every level – local, state, national, and world. Whether elected or appointed we trust that they are in place, at least for a season, according to the will of God (Romans 13:1-7). Pray that they would be given wisdom, discernment, and selflessness to serve others to the glory of God. Pray that they would rightly establish and maintain justice in a manner that promotes unity in obedience amongst their fellow citizens. Pray that they would strive for the peace and prosperity of those over whom they have been given charge. Pray that we as citizens would rightly submit to the laws of the city, state, nation, and world in which we live and that we would rightly ascribe due honor and respect to her leaders, even when there is disagreement between us, as is fitting of the people of Christ.
