THIS WEEK’S PRAYER FOCUS: We give thanks to God for our mothers. We pray on their behalf for their health, spiritual blessing, guidance from God’s Word and from the Holy Spirit, for wisdom and understanding. We also pray for “Spiritual Mothers” who may or may not be a biological mom, but whose love and spiritual guidance to many has served the role of “Spiritual Mother” and has blessed those in their sphere of influence. We pray that all mothers recognize the power of their influence, and use it for God’s glory. I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well. II Timothy 1: 5.
