On Saturday February 11th, the youth girls small groups hosted the widows of the church for an evening of fun and fellowship. The evening started out with a delicious meal prepared by the youth and then moved into a Painting class led by a former youth group member.
During the evening there was also a photo booth with props set up for all to enjoy. After some explanation, the women and the youth had a great time taking photos and goofing around with one another.
The event was to call the youth’s attention to the Women of the church who have lost their spouses, to have them serve them but also to learn from them valuable lessons about life and walking with Jesus.
The youth are appreciative of the Youth Council and the Evangelism and Outreach committees who provided funding for this, what we are sure will be an annual event.
